Written proposal submitted in regards to the by-laws and voted on at the December General Membership Meeting during the elections. Our SFHA by-laws indicate we will charge a $5.00 initiation fee for new members and any member who does not get their dues paid by January 1st of the new calendar year.

We have not been charging this fee or people have missed it when “signing up” as a new member. Old members who did not get their dues paid by Jan. 1st but paid them later did not pay the $5.00 initiation fee because they probably didn’t know about it the first time they paid their dues. PROPOSAL APPROVED BY UNANIMOUS VOTE: Eliminate all reference to a “$5.00 initiation fee” in the by-laws and eliminate the $5.00 initiation fee as a dues requirement.
